A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

South Coast Hydrate began as something very simple: a personal search for better health.

In 2018, after finishing up playing rugby, I started looking for new ways to maintain my fitness, energy, and overall wellbeing. That search led me to Alkaline water. Almost immediately, I noticed a difference, more energy, better hydration, and a stronger sense of balance in my day-to-day life.

I started sharing it with friends and family, and the response was incredible. They were feeling the difference too. That’s when I realised this wasn’t just something I wanted for myself, it was something I wanted to make easier for others to access. That idea became South Coast Hydrate: a simple, reliable way for people to make better hydration part of everyday life.

But this brand is about more than performance and hydration.

In December 2023, my life changed forever. I was attacked with a glass bottle and was left permanently blind in both eyes. What followed were multiple surgeries and many months of recovery and there is still a long road ahead. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the support of my family and friends through this journey.

Not everyone has that support.

That’s why South Coast Hydrate donates a percentage of its profits to support people who are blind or visually impaired. This cause is deeply personal to me, and it is now permanently part of what this brand stands for.

South Coast Hydrate exists for two reasons:

To help people feel better through better hydration.

And to use this business to make a real difference in the lives of others.
